Holiday Card 2020
I wanted to give my friends and family a holiday card with a little bit of spice. 2020 had been a hard year on all of us and I figured we all could use a little bit of extra magic. Through the utilization of Procreate and the Eyejack Creator App, I was able to draw, animate, and build an augmented reality. The front of the card would animate when it was hovered over in the Eyejack app. The inspiration for this project came from the AR cover of the first issue of Wine Enthusiast Magazine I was published in, which was based on tech in the wine world. The result was a fun, new way to share my love of technology and art with my friends and family.
This is a mock up of the front and back of the card, showing the instructions and QR code for how to download and activate the Eyejack app.
This is a video of the completed animation, which I later uploaded to the Eyejack app. I also added a link to it on the back of the card just in case someone was unable/didn’t want to download the Eyejack app.
This is a video of a demonstration of the augmented reality card, shot through the Eyejack app. Not only was I able to animate the card but I also clipped some of Vince Guaraldi Trio’s “O Tannenbaum” to sync with the animation.
